Editorial Policy — FitCreeper Finance

Effective note date: 2026-09-07

This policy explains how FitCreeper Finance creates, reviews, updates, and corrects educational personal-finance content. Author: Ahmad Dogar.

Mission

Publish clear, beginner-friendly explainers on emergency funds, savings accounts, deposit insurance, and related cash-buffer topics for U.S. readers—without pretending to offer personalized advice.

YMYL caution

Personal finance is a Your Money or Your Life (YMYL) topic. We therefore:

  • Prefer primary sources (CFPB, FDIC, Federal Reserve, NCUA, and similar) for definitions, insurance rules, and national averages
  • Date survey statistics and APY snapshots
  • Tell readers to verify live rates and terms on the institution’s website
  • Avoid inventing credentials, guarantees, or “best account for you” prescriptions

AI disclosure policy

Many FitCreeper drafts use AI assistance for outlining, wording, and structure. Before publish, content is reviewed for:

  • Alignment with cited primary sources
  • Accurate representation of dated figures
  • Clear educational disclaimers
  • Removal of invented facts, fake credentials, or undated “current rates presented as permanent

Articles include an on-page note such as: Drafted with AI assistance, then checked against primary sources…

AI does not replace source checking. AI output is never treated as an official rate quote.

Attribution & sources

Posts should include:

  • Inline links to supporting sources where claims are made
  • A Sources section at the end
  • Where official data tables are used (for example FDIC national rates), a short Original evidence table with product/rate/as-of columns and a retrieval date

We do not copy substantial copyrighted text verbatim from other publishers. We summarize and cite.

Corrections policy

If you find a factual error:

  1. Contact us via the Contact page with the article title, the incorrect statement, and a preferred correction source (ideally a primary URL).
  2. We will review and, when warranted, update the article with corrected wording and, if material, a short correction note near the top or in the Sources area.
  3. Non-material typos may be fixed quietly; material money-rule or figure errors should be noted.

We prioritize corrections that could mislead readers about deposit insurance, rates framing, or regulatory definitions.

Updates & rate freshness

Interest rates and product terms change frequently. FitCreeper may:

  • Label APYs as dated snapshots
  • Point to FDIC national averages as context, not as your bank’s APY
  • Refresh articles when primary sources revise tables or guidance

An article’s presence online does not mean every figure remains current.

Conflicts of interest & monetization

If FitCreeper later uses affiliate links, sponsorships, or display ads, those relationships will be disclosed in a clear manner on affected pages. Editorial accuracy standards still apply: we will not alter official definitions to favor a partner.

As of this policy note, treat content as educational publishing first.

What we will not claim

  • That FitCreeper or Ahmad Dogar is your financial advisor
  • Invented phone numbers, physical addresses, emails, licenses, or certifications for the author
  • That any HYSA, MMA, or CD is “risk-free” beyond what deposit insurance rules actually cover
  • Undated “best rates today” lists presented as permanent truths

Reader responsibility

You are responsible for verifying account terms, insurance status (FDIC BankFind / NCUA tools), and suitability for your situation. Educational frameworks (for example 3–6 months of essentials) are rules of thumb, not prescriptions.
